Why the Bullet Test Tube?

Obviously ballistic gelatin would be a better material to shoot.  On the other hand ballistic gelatin is fairly expensive.  While visiting the Cabelas in Phoenix I ran into this bullet test tube material.  Which while not ballistic gelatin, it is supposed to be able to demonstrate the expansion mechanism of various rounds.

It also has the additional benefit of being reusable.  The material can be melted down in a standard crock-pot and recast in the included mold.
