With all the controversy over new measures allowing handguns in bars and in state parks, it’s fair to say that many Tennesseans are unhappy with the state’s guns laws, for very different reasons.

However, to argue that the state’s laws are too vague, as a Williamson County man has done in a lawsuit filed in Davidson County Chancery Court, seems like a scattershot approach intended to escalate this already emotional debate.

    The sad part is I have found no one in the Legislature who would disagree. They seem to applaud the department of safety and the cops taking the law into their own hands. It isn’t about the rule of law or the right to bear arms.
