As William stated above, the range is NOT in Staunton. The range is actually a few miles past Little North Mountain WMA and a couple miles before the Craigsville grocery store on (220?) It is approx 7 miles past Buffalo Gap country store (where you would turn right coming from Waynesboro to go to the high school.

Sorry for the vague directions but they will actually get you there. I don’t know where the hell the address listed will take you but it IS NOT Hite Hollow.

The Staunton address is actually the Deerfield Ranger District Office. If you read the Range info section it actually says it’s located near Augusta Spring. The directions listed aren’t that bad and most GPS’s have a signal right up to the range, with a few drops after you turn onto Hite Hollow Rd.

  5. Tom S says:

Only 2 pistol shooting lanes. Also about 6 rifle shooting lanes. No range officer on duty. Also the range often gets very crowded. Today 2:30 pm, there was about 12 people wanting to shoot pistols with only two lanes. Bring your own target stands as none are provided.
