Trap Shooting

Trap Park Setup

Trap House

One person sites in the Trap House and loads clays one by one. The puller (or scorekeeper) has control of the trap. The thrower constantly moves back and forth, and it is the job of the person in the trap house to continue feeding it.

  • use orange clays for day shooting
  • use white clays for night shooting

The “pull” mechanism differs by trap park. In some, the puller has a corded button that runs from the trap house. However, voice activated traps are becoming more popular, with a voice activated mic in front of each shooter.
